About BC Rug Care
A wash-plant for rugs people love.
We started BC Rug Care because most “rug cleaning” in the Lower Mainland is wall-to-wall carpet cleaning with rugs treated as an afterthought. Rugs deserve their own process — and we’ve built one.
Why a rug-first brand?
An area rug isn’t a carpet. Wool and silk fibres need cool-water rinsing to preserve lanolin and dye. Hand-knotted foundations behave differently than tufted ones. Persian and Oriental rugs hold value and provenance. Treating all of these with the same high-pressure steam-cleaning approach — what most carpet companies do — cuts corners and shortens the rug’s life.
We picked up the carpet business years ago. Customers kept asking us to handle their heirloom rugs the right way. After enough requests, we built the facility, the inventory of fibre-specific shampoos, and the process to do it properly. BC Rug Care is that work, given its own name.
Where we work
13 Lower Mainland cities. From the West End in Vancouver to Maple Ridge in the east, we run a pickup-and-delivery route most weeks. Rugs come back to our facility for the wash and dry, then return to you flat and ready to lay.
Wash-plant care — not in-home surface cleaning
Every area rug we take in is hand-inspected, dusted, washed, and dried flat in our facility. That matters: surface-cleaning hides dirt deep in the foundation, and a wet rug pressed against a damp floor invites mildew.
Fully insured and bonded
Your rug is covered while it’s in our care, in transit, and during cleaning. We carry general liability insurance because rugs are sometimes irreplaceable.
Honest about what cleaning can do
Some stains lift fully. Some lighten significantly. A few don’t budge. We dye-test antique and hand-made rugs before any wash and tell you what to expect, in writing, before we start.
Family-run — calls reach a person
No call-centre, no upsell scripts. The person who picks up the phone is the person who’ll walk through your quote.
Our care promise
We make three commitments to every customer:
1. A written estimate before any work begins.
No verbal-only quotes. If the price changes after inspection, we tell you why and wait for approval before continuing.
2. Honest scope. We say no when we should.
If a rug isn’t worth the cleaning cost, we’ll say so. If a stain won’t come out, we’ll tell you before you commit, not after.
3. If we make a mistake, we fix it.
Insured, bonded, and small enough that the person who took the call also runs the make-it-right process.
